About the Role
The Logistics & Customs Coordinator plays a critical operational role in ensuring our clients' goods move efficiently and compliantly from Asian manufacturers to their destination markets. You will manage the full shipment lifecycle — from booking and documentation to customs clearance coordination and delivery confirmation — across multiple concurrent shipments and client accounts.
This role requires someone who is exceptionally organised, detail-focused, and comfortable navigating the complexity of international freight and customs regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate sea, air, and multimodal freight bookings with carriers and freight forwarders
- Prepare, review, and manage all export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin
- Liaise with customs brokers in destination countries to facilitate smooth import clearance
- Ensure all shipments comply with applicable export and import regulations
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively communicate status updates to clients
- Identify and resolve logistics disruptions, delays, and discrepancies
- Manage freight costs and assist with landed cost calculations for clients
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation archives
- Support the development and continuous improvement of logistics processes
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in international freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or customs brokerage
- Solid understanding of Incoterms, HS classification, and customs valuation principles
- Experience managing shipments from China and/or Vietnam to Europe, Australia, or North America
- Familiarity with sea freight (FCL/LCL), air freight, and courier shipments
- Strong attention to detail and document accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Mandarin language skills are a significant advantage
- Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously under time pressure
- Proficiency in logistics management tools and standard office software
